MaticTools
Privacy Policy
Effective August 25, 2026
MaticTools is a content publishing workspace used by authorized team members to prepare, schedule, and publish content to connected platforms such as Pinterest. We collect only the information needed to operate that workflow and administer access to the service.
Information we collect
We may process the following information when MaticTools is used:
- Account information such as a user's name, email address, role, status, and timezone.
- Authentication and session information required to keep authorized users signed in securely.
- Content supplied for publishing, including images, titles, descriptions, destination URLs, alt text, board selections, and scheduled publishing times.
- Information returned by a connected platform that is necessary to complete an authorized action, such as account identifiers, board identifiers, connection status, and authorization tokens.
- Operational information such as publishing status, API response codes, retry counts, and limited error messages used to diagnose failed publishing actions.
Pinterest authorization and data
A Pinterest account is connected to MaticTools only through Pinterest's authorization flow. MaticTools does not ask users to provide their Pinterest password. Authorization tokens are used only to perform actions that an authorized MaticTools user has deliberately requested, such as loading available boards or publishing a scheduled Pin.
We aim to request only the Pinterest permissions necessary for the features we provide. MaticTools does not sell Pinterest data, build advertising profiles from Pinterest data, or use Pinterest authorization data for unrelated purposes.
How we use information
Information processed by MaticTools is used to:
- authenticate users and enforce superadmin or user permissions;
- control which connected Pinterest accounts each user may access;
- store publishing instructions until their scheduled time;
- send authorized content to Pinterest and record whether the action succeeded or failed;
- protect the service, troubleshoot errors, and maintain reliable operation.
How we store and protect information
Access to MaticTools is restricted to authorized users. Sensitive credentials and authorization tokens are intended to be stored securely and separately from public application files. We use reasonable technical controls such as password hashing, session protection, access checks, and restricted server-side storage to reduce unauthorized access.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Information is shared with a connected platform only when necessary to carry out an authorized publishing action or maintain the connection. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the security and integrity of MaticTools.
Retention and disconnection
Publishing records may be retained for operational history, troubleshooting, and accountability. Connected platform credentials are retained only while the connection is needed. A superadmin can disconnect a Pinterest account from MaticTools, after which the related authorization credentials should no longer be used for publishing.
Cookies and sessions
MaticTools may use a session cookie to keep an authorized user signed in and to protect forms from unauthorized requests. We do not need third-party advertising cookies to operate the core service.
Your choices
Authorized users can ask a MaticTools superadmin to update or disable their user account. Pinterest permissions can also be withdrawn through Pinterest or by disconnecting the account from MaticTools.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product or its integrations change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised version is published.
